For those seeking a more private and comfortable stay, the 12 cabin suites at Brown County State Park offer a perfect solution. These suites are available year-round and feature a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, televisions, and phone. Furnished with 2 Queen beds and 1 sofa hide-a-bed, the cabin suites can accommodate up to 6 guests. Rental includes 6 aquatic center wristbands.
Family Cabins: Ideal for Groups
The 20 family cabins at Brown County State Park are completely furnished, 2-story modern accommodations available year-round. Each cabin features 2 bedrooms upstairs (one king bed and one queen bed) and a balcony. They include a full kitchen and living room with a wood-burning stove, and can sleep up to 8 people (using the two sleeper sofas in the living room). Rental includes 8 aquatic center wristbands.
Rustic Cabins: Authentic Outdoor Experience
For a more rustic and authentic outdoor experience, Brown County State Park offers 51 bedrooms in 24 rustic sleeping cabins. These cabins contain either 2 or 4 complete units, and some have connecting doors to make a suite of 2 bedrooms. Furnished with 1 double bed, a double bed and twin bed, or two double beds, the rustic cabins include a bathroom with shower, mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. Some are even pet-friendly. The rustic cabins are open from April 1st through October 31st, and rental includes 2 or 3 aquatic center wristbands, depending on the number of beds.
Horsemen’s Campground: Equestrian-Friendly Accommodations
For visitors who wish to bring their own horses and stay the weekend, Brown County State Park offers a dedicated Horsemen’s Campground. This facility caters to the needs of equestrian enthusiasts, with horse tags required for access.
RVs and Horsemen’s Campgrounds: Entrance Requirements
Visitors with RVs and vehicles towing trailers must use the West Gate Entrance (off S.R. 46, west of Nashville) to access the campgrounds. The North Gate Covered Bridge is restricted to a 9-foot height and 3-ton weight limit, so these larger vehicles should not use this entrance. Horsemen’s Campground users should use the entrance off 135 South.
